By investing in renewable energy from sources such as wind and sustainable biopower, you can help protect the environment, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and lessen our carbon footprint. Whether it's for your home or your business, New Jersey's Clean Energy Program makes using renewable energy technologies affordable, practical, and just plain smart.
Incentives are currently available for sustainable biopower projects only. While new solar projects are no longer eligible for incentives under the REIP, projects can register for Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) through the SREC Registration Program (SRP). Solar projects that are currently approved in the REIP can submit a Final As-Built Packet. The wind program is currently on temporary hold.
Getting Started
Your first step towards installing your own wind or biopower system is to find an installer that's right for you. The trade ally database includes a list of renewable energy installers that have completed at least three projects in New Jersey.
